Why UK parents are moving to online Quran classes
Between school, homework, football practice and early winter darkness, many UK parents find it hard to get children to an evening madrasa every day. Online Quran classes let your child learn one-to-one with a qualified teacher at home — often in less total time than the trip to the masjid takes.
Evening madrasa vs. one-to-one online classes
Students per teacher: often 10–20 at a madrasa, only 1 online. Travel: a daily drive or walk, or none at all. Class length: 1.5–2 hours, or a focused 30–45 minutes. Timing: fixed, or a slot you choose. Parent visibility: limited, or sit in any time. Many families use both — the masjid for community and online classes for focused reading and Tajweed.
Timings that suit UK school days
Weekdays 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm UK time — straight after school or after dinner. Saturday and Sunday mornings — ideal for busy weekdays. 2 to 5 days a week: 30 minutes for young children, up to 45 minutes for older students. When the clocks change in March and October, your class stays at the same UK time.
Which course is right for your child?
Age 4–7 and new to Arabic: start with Noorani Qaida. Can read slowly: move to Quran Reading for fluency. Reads fluently: add Quran with Tajweed. Wants to memorise: Hifz-ul-Quran with a daily revision plan. Daily worship: 40 Masnoon Duas and Namaz.
Keeping children motivated
Keep the class at the same time every day so it becomes routine. Use headphones to cut background noise from siblings. Ask the teacher for a small weekly target — a Qaida lesson or a short surah. Celebrate milestones: finishing the Qaida, the first juz, the first surah memorised. Learn a little yourself — children copy what they see.
Safety and trust
Parents rightly ask who is teaching their child. During the free trial you can sit with your child for the whole class, ask the teacher about their own Quran education and Tajweed training, and request a female teacher if you prefer.
How the free trial works
1. Fill in the free-trial form with your child's age and preferred UK time. 2. We confirm on WhatsApp. 3. Your child takes a live trial class and the teacher assesses their level. 4. You decide afterwards — no card details and no obligation.
My child is shy — will one-to-one work?
Often better than a group class. Shy children speak up more when there is no audience. Many parents also book an adult class for themselves right after their child's. Book a free trial from the Free Trial page to see how it feels.
