Looking for an Online Quran Teacher? Here's What Happens in Your First Trial Class

Searching for an online Quran teacher? See exactly what happens in a free 30-minute trial class — booking, level check, mini-lesson, feedback — and the questions parents should ask before enrolling.

Choosing a Quran teacher starts with a trial

Searching for a Quran teacher online can feel overwhelming. Every academy says it has qualified teachers — so how do you know which one is right for your child, or for you? The best way to decide is a free trial class. Here is exactly what happens in one.

Before the class: booking your trial

1. Fill in the free-trial form with the student's name, age, current level (beginner, reading slowly or reading fluently) and preferred time in your own time zone. 2. We contact you on WhatsApp to confirm the slot. 3. Get ready: a laptop, tablet or phone, headphones if possible and a quiet spot. For young children, a parent nearby helps.

During the class: the first 30 minutes

Welcome (2–3 minutes): the teacher introduces themselves and settles any nerves. Level check (10 minutes): beginners see the first Arabic letters, readers recite a few lines, Hifz students recite what they have memorised. A real mini-lesson (10–12 minutes): a new group of Qaida letters or a Tajweed rule such as ikhfa or qalqalah. Watch how gently and clearly mistakes are corrected. Feedback and plan (5 minutes): the student's level, the recommended course, classes per week and a realistic next milestone.

What a good Quran teacher does in the trial

Recites correctly with proper Tajweed. Speaks clearly in a language the student understands — English or Urdu. Corrects mistakes without embarrassing the student. Keeps a young child engaged for the whole class. Starts on time and finishes with a clear plan.

Questions parents should ask

Where did you learn Quran and Tajweed? How do you track progress, and will I get updates? What happens if my child misses a class? Can we keep the same teacher every time? Is a female teacher available for my daughter?

After the trial

There is no pressure — you decide whether to continue. If you do, you choose the course (Noorani Qaida, Quran Reading, Quran with Tajweed, Hifz or Basic Islamic Studies), 2 to 5 days per week, and a fixed time slot in your local time. Monthly plans are listed on our Pricing page.

Classes for families worldwide

Students join from the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, UAE, Saudi Arabia and many other countries. Timings are arranged around your local school and work day.
